The Britannia gold coin has been issued by the British Royal Mint with a fineness of 916.67/1000 since 1987 and 999.9/1000 since 2013. The reverse of the coin is adorned with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the face value in pounds sterling. The Britannia is available in weights of 1, 1/2, ¼ and 1/10 ounce.
